Summary: Adrien has had enough. If Ladybug won't accept him as Chat Noir, well, then maybe she'll say yes to Paris's top male model? When she gives her answer, he doesn't expect what comes next.
In the dead of the night when Paris slept, two little kwamis snuck away from their wielders and headed to the home of the Guardian. With his own kwami Wayzz at his side, Master Fu served them tea before they all settled down on the mat and discussed the new issue at hand. Marinette and Adrien knew each other’s identities even though the kwamis and the Guardian were inherently against it.
Master Fu looked concerned, but he did not express it in words. Instead, he looked as though he was caught in heavy thought, and the kwamis only watched him with anxiety.
Finally, Master Fu’s voice cut through the silence. “Ah, well, let us calm our worries and have faith. Perhaps, knowing each other’s identities will only make them stronger.” He took a sip of his tea and the kwamis stared at them, trying to relax with his encouragement. “I have seen this happen in the past. Maybe the Miraculous wielders were a little older by then, but Adrien and Marinette have shown great strength and wisdom in such a short time.”
“But Master Fu, because they are so young aren’t they in more danger against Hawkmoth?” Tikki asked him.
“Of course, but we must have faith and try to support and protect them as much as we can. Now go back to your wielders and bring them back tomorrow. I will talk to them personally,” he said, content to finish his tea alone as the kwamis bid their goodbyes.

That following night, Ladybug and Chat Noir went on patrol, and the mood between them was lighter and more relaxed. Even though Chat Noir often got distracted, staring at Ladybug with a satisfied grin as the cat finally got the canary; Ladybug was ever so vigilant to keep her kitty on task.
After a rather mundane evening during the patrol, the superhero pair called it a night as Hawkmoth did not seem to be active.
“Well, my lady, shall we spend a little time together before we have to head back home?” Chat Noir said, immediately caging her against a brick building in a small dark alley. He leaned into the crook of her neck, tickling her with some light, suggestive licks. Ladybug giggled, and she grasped his head and drew him into a dizzying kiss.
They pulled apart with a large smack, and Ladybug cradled his chin in her hands. She watched him affectionately, and he got lost in her ocean blue stare. She smiled, and Chat Noir leaned in for another deep kiss. She wrapped her arms around his neck as pushed her back harder into the brick building. Ladybug’s legs went around his waist, and Chat Noir let out a filthy moan when she ground her hips into the hardness under his suit.
She giggled, her hot breath tickling his lips. Chat Noir planted kitten kisses on her lips and down her jaw, finding purchase on her soft neck. He nibbled lightly at her racing pulse underneath her hot skin, and began sucking hard, claiming the renowned superhero as his.
Ladybug got lost in him, carding her fingers through his thick blond hair, tugging aggressively when he’d nibble on her skin. When he found her lips again, they got lost in each other, content to spend the rest of their night delighting in each other’s kisses.
She couldn’t get enough of him...He chased her tongue and sucked on her lips, and she’d meet his voracity in turn. His hands snaked down to rest on her hips, and soon, slowly, his gloved claws explored the curve of her ass, and he couldn’t resist a squeeze, keeping her perfect bottom in his grasp.
“Mmm…” she moaned softly, the vibration of her sound sending a thrill throughout his entire body. He let out a satisfied sigh as she turned from his lips and began leaving her own marks on his neck.
“My lady, if only I could…” His hands ran up and down her body, his desire spilling over her in waves.
“Yeah, I want to touch you too,” she said, and he felt her hands on his chest, her thumbs lightly tracing over where his nipples were under his suit. He shivered and drew her lips into his mouth again.
Suddenly, they jumped apart when both their Miraculouses beeped at them. They stood in a moment of shock, not sure why they would do that since they hadn’t even used their powers that night. Their eyes met, both full of obvious confusion, and then they de-transformed to see why their kwamis were suddenly out of power.
“Blaaaahhh,” Plagg yelled immediately. He panted heavily, and he turned to Adrien and glared. “Seriously, don’t do that stuff in the suits, kids. If you want to get it on, leave me out of it!”
Marinette turned to Tiki who was blushing and looking over at Plagg, and then to Adrien and Marinette. “Yeah, I don’t usually agree with Plagg but… there was a lot of rubbing! Errrr….” And then she made some strange noises and turned her back from their embarrassed stares.
“I’m hungry! Your teenage hormones sucked the life out of me. Give me some cheeeeeeeese!” he demanded, flying around Adrien’s head. Adrien nodded dumbly, his face scarlet from embarrassment, and he complied with a piece of cheese tucked away in his shirt pocket.
“Wow, I had no idea, um… we affected you that way,” Marinette said, her voice just as pink as Adrien’s face was red. “I’m so sorry.” She fished out a cookie for Tiki who took it happily but still wouldn’t look at her.
“Well, it’s not usually that bad, but you two were just going at it soooo looooong,” Plagg said, continuing to stuff his face.
“Anyway… I’m sorry, too,” Adrien said, scratching the back of his head nervously. “We will, uh, make note of that in the future.”
“Now that you two have calmed down,” Tiki chimed in, meeting their eyes finally and seeming more refreshed after eating a few cookies. “We really need to visit Master Fu. He needs to speak with you both now that you know each other’s identities. It’s critical we seek his guidance when Hawkmoth is still a threat.”
“Tiki’s right,” Marinette said. “We can’t lose focus here.”
“It’s a little late for that,” Plagg mumbled sardonically.
“In any case,” Adrien said, cutting him off. “We need to be more careful. Let’s head to Fu’s quickly, and then I have to get home.”
Marinette and Adrien sat at Master Fu’s table in awkward silence as the kwamis buzzed around them and waited for the Guardian to speak. He was puttering around, getting them some tea ready. He didn’t seem upset with them, and in fact, he seemed like the same, serene Fu. Though this time he was meeting them both at the same time instead of one by one.
Now that they knew each other’s identities, Marinette wondered if the communication between them all would improve, now that they didn’t have to hide things from each other and lie when an akuma showed up and posed problems.
“I won’t take too much of your time,” Master Fu said, placing two small cups of steaming tea in front of them. He sat opposite of them on the table with his own cup of tea, and the two teens did not dare take a sip of their tea until Fu had tried a sip of his own first.
“Obviously, the fact that you two know each other’s identities is distressing, and it poses a more serious threat as Hawkmoth is still at large,” he began, getting to the point. He let out a heavy sigh and met their attention.
He continued, “In the past, the other wielders eventually did learn each other’s identities, but they were much older, and some of the threats they encountered were fierce, if not just as dangerous as Hawkmoth. However, I was hoping we would learn more about Hawkmoth’s plan and identity before your secret identities were revealed. I’m concerned, you still being children, that it will be easy for him to take advantage of you…”
“So what do we do?” Adrien asked, feeling anxious with Fu’s assessment of their situation. It was obvious the elder Guardian was not pleased with how things turned out, and he seemed to be mirroring the feelings of the kwamis as well.
“We need to make it seem we don’t know each other’s identities,” Marinette said aloud. Fu and Adrien both looked at her, curious to what she could mean. “I’m only saying we don’t advertise it. Rena Rouge and Carapace know each other’s identities, but when they are in the field, they don’t make a spectacle of it. If we continue not only being discreet, but playing dumb, we won’t give Hawkmoth another reason to exploit us.”
“That goes without being said,” Master Fu said nodding. “We keep the status quo, but you two must control yourselves and be aware of how you are acting not only as civilians but also as warriors while in this relationship.”
Marinette turned to Adrien. “Just like with your father, we have to keep this relationship as low-key and secretive as possible, same for Ladybug and Chat Noir too. We have other enemies to keep in mind besides Hawkmoth.”
Adrien nodded, his green eyes fierce with understanding. “I get it. There’s also Mayura and Volpina, and even the akuma we come across. All of them are the eyes and ears of Hawkmoth.”
“And those are just Hawkmoth’s allies,” Master Fu added. “We must be cautious of other powerful villains in the future who appear to exploit the Miraculouses.”
Marinette and Adrien both frowned at each other. They knew the stakes were high now that they were together, and they had to be careful on just how they expressed this newfound love for one another.
Marinette stood up from her spot and clenched her fist, looking at Master Fu with resolve and determination. “We can’t let this become a weakness. I refuse to consider it a disadvantage that others can use against us. I truly believe we can stay cautious and perform our duties to Paris and the Miraculouses, and still be together. This could make us stronger, we could plan things better and improve how we communicate in our civilian forms.”
“I agree with Marinette.” Adrien got up to stand next to her, and he looked considerably less anxious and worried than when he came into Fu’s house tonight. His mind was made up and he would follow Marinette’s example. He added, “We’re going to become stronger together, and we will protect each other just as before, if not better. I promise you that.”
“Have faith in us,” Marinette said, looking to Master Fu and the kwamis. “We will prove to you this won’t be a weakness, and we will be careful.”
Master Fu smiled. “I’m glad to hear it. Now you kids should probably head home. I wouldn’t want your parents to find you gone at such a late time and get worried.”
Marinette and Adrien nodded and then turned to their kwamis, who both looked relieved.
“Let’s go!” Marinette said, and they both transformed again and headed back home.

Later that evening, Adrien changed into his pajamas and settled into his warm bed sheets and blankets. Plagg was comfortably snoring out of sight, and Adrien’s phone was the only light in his dark room. He watched his phone’s screen intently, smiling as he chatted on iMessage with Marinette.
Suddenly his phone rang, and when he answered it, Marinette’s face popped up. Her brilliant smile and large blue eyes gazed back at him, and he felt warmth in his chest as he took in her beauty.
“I just wanted to see your face again before I went to bed,” she said to him in a low voice, barely above a whisper.
“Mmm, me too, my lady. I wanted to have good dreams tonight. If only I could have you here to hold and fall asleep next to me,” he said, and she giggled at him.
“We both know if I was there we wouldn’t be sleeping,” she told him suggestively. He felt warmth spread up within his face and down through his chest.
“I’m okay with that too,” he said with a light cough, and Marinette laughed at him.
“Soon,” she said, and she blew him a kiss. “Until then, sweet dreams…”
“Marinette…” He stopped her before she could say goodbye just yet. “I...I love you.”
“I love you too, Adrien,” she said, blowing him another kiss. “Good night.”
Adrien released a breathy sigh and clutched his phone to his chest. “Good night,” he whispered in the dark. He rolled over in his bed and put the covers over his head. His body was hot and he craved Marinette’s touch. He thought of their make out session on patrol, and soon his mind cycled through all their heated encounters and delighted in every one of them. His hand snaked down into his pajama bottoms and he groaned.
Outside his bedroom, shadows danced and moved through the spotty moonlight that glinted throughout the dark house. Light footsteps moved throughout the spiraling halls, away from Adrien’s room into the unknown bowels under the main floor.
He was alone here, and white butterflies danced around him in the air, waiting for his next command. This time, they wandered shyly away as anger poured out from him in waves. He closed his eyes and his shoulders tensed. His fists clenched at his sides.
Nathalie had been right. Adrien had a girlfriend, and he was keeping her from him.
And Gabriel was not pleased.
