Summary: Phayu's initial thoughts upon first meeting Rain.
Phayu ignored the rain seeping into his suit as he watched the car drive back into traffic. He paused for a moment, waiting to see if the boy was okay as he drove off into the sheets of rain. He was curious about the kind boy who held the umbrella for him as he changed the tire and then called him handsome on impulse.
His compliment was so honest and raw, Phayu wasn’t prepared for it, but the boy’s appreciation made his heart skip a beat.
Phayu didn’t sense anything sexual in the nature of this compliment, and he didn’t feel like he was being hit on by the stranger. He felt the boy’s admiration and gratitude toward him, and with the blunt way the boy spoke to him, he seemed a little defiant and bold, which only attracted Phayu more.
He also checked him out, with his large eyes and smooth skin, and light-colored hair. The boy’s most notable feature was those full pink lips, and Phayu admitted he was initially drawn to them. He wondered how those lips would taste, how full they would shape around his mouth, and how much of him he could open up with his tongue.
And was the boy’s fair skin as soft as it looked? He had resisted the inappropriate urge to wipe the raindrops off the boy’s cheek, or even a more salacious urge, to suck the beads of moisture off his neck with his tongue.
It had been a while for him since his last relationship, and of course, he wasn’t actively looking because he’d been too busy. However, he couldn’t ignore the spark between them on that rainy road under the warm glow of the highway lights. It almost seemed serendipitous, to meet this cute boy in need of a hero, the perfect fit for Phayu’s type of partner.
Phayu jumped on his bike, grumbling about driving through the rain himself. It really wasn’t his favorite thing to do, even if the street lights made the rain on the pavement shine a neon orange, pretty but dangerous and slick for transportation.
His thoughts plagued him about meeting that kind, adorable boy, and he longed to see him again. Phayu was confident he would find out who he was eventually. He cruised safely on his bike down the wet roads back to his house with warm thoughts of the boy nestled in his head. At least, he could go to bed tonight with the lovely image of the stranger on his mind, hoping the new object of his desire would make an appearance in his dreams.
Though patience paid off for him in the end, and he lucked out when someone in his frat sent him a photo of that same boy. Phayu felt energized by this, knowing they would run into each other again.
When Phayu sent back a question about the photo, he received an immediate response from one of his juniors in the frat. The boy’s name was Rain, and Phayu smiled, believing that all too fitting for how they met.
He supposed Rain would remember him and how he changed his tire for him. Phayu grinned to himself - of course, it would be more fun to act nonchalant, even pretend he didn’t remember himself. If Rain really wanted to know him, if it really was a definite spark between them, Rain would make the effort to learn about him too. For some reason, Phayu didn’t think this boy would let him down. He was sure he piqued Rain’s curiosity too.
Phayu couldn’t wait to make a move on him, to play out this pursuit of Rain until he achieved what he wanted. He knew this dance to make Rain his would be more than worth it.
